Retro Recommendation: Extreme - Waiting For The Punchline
Every Friday I turn the blog over to Dan Marsicano for his Retro Recommendation, giving you a chance to learn about underrated and overlooked gems from metal's past. This week, Extreme are in the spotlight. They had some huge mainstream radio hits like "More Than Words" in the early '90s, but Extreme was a harder-edged band than many people realized. They shifted their musical direction a bit for 1995's Waiting For The Punchline, which is this week's Retro Recommendation.

He's the drummer/composer for Charred Walls Of The Damned and a staffer on the Howard Stern Show, but Richard Christy also works in the visual arts. He has developed a new animated web series Majestic Loincloth, a metal based fantasy cartoon. Kamelot Tour Dates

Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats Interview

Their latest album Mind Control comes with high expectations. Black Sabbath Tour Dates
Black Sabbath's new studio album 13, their first since 1995, will be released June 11. The band has now announced a 20 city North American tour that kicks off July 25 in Houston.

In This Moment Concert Photos
In This Moment are touring in support of last year's album Blood, which has spawned several radio hits including the title track and "Whore." The band was part of the lineup for last weekend's Carolina Rebellion festival near Charlotte. Luckily they played on the festival's first day, which was cool and overcast, but dry.
