Updated the core website tonight. It is always a fun task to totally dismantle our website and put it back together. The site is so big and the update is not the easiest. Only had a few things go wrong this time, so it wasn't that bad. The update took over 3 hours to perform. I am writing this down to remind myself what it was like.

Everything went pretty smoothly overall. However, the rebuilding of the permissions bombed and the server locked up for about 20 minutes. I had to restart the system, as the services I was unable to restart, just hung on the task.

Ok, I need to sleep.
